On Saturday we went to visit my sister at her stall at the Farmer’s Markets. This has to be one of the most challenging environments that Wiley and I go to. It is so crowded with lots of food on the ground and plenty of dogs on the perimeter of the markets – so many distractions.
Wiley was much better this time than our first visit, I am especially happy with how careful he is in crowds. I feel so much safer with Wiley than I do with either a long cane or sighted guide.
Later in the day we headed out to Petbarn. I needed to replenish my supply of Kangaroo mince and beef chews. I also bought Wiley some extra little treats, I like to get something new for him to try each visit.
He was really good in the store even though there were other dogs and some children playing with balls and all the squeaky toys.
On Sunday we went for a lovely 2.5 hour long bush walk with my friend and her dog. It was a designated day off for Wiley so he was able to spend the rest of the day snoozing and enjoying his Sunday treat of a pigs ear while I caught up on boring things like washing and housework.
