The other day Wiley and I headed off to do a Probus talk. The group we spoke to were lovely and had lots of interesting questions. It is always awkward if I ask for questions and no one has any.
For this talk I spoke about what was involved in Wiley becoming a Guide Dog and also my story through my vision loss. Wiley demonstrated how well Guide Dogs lie quietly when not actively guiding as he promptly feel asleep as soon as I got to podium. Thankfully at least this time he didn’t start to snore.
I really enjoy talking to community groups as it gives me the perfect opportunity to educate people about Guide Dogs. Not to mention traveling to different venues gives Wiley a chance to work in new and interesting places.
