It is hard to believe it is the last day of 2013, this year has simply flown by. I feel so incredibly fortunate as Wiley and I have had a wonderful year.
We have had some interesting and challenging presentations and talks and been interviewed for print, radio and TV segments. I have met a number of wonderful people and had a couple of great experiences, like walking with Liam from RMC to the War Memorial.
Thanks to the formation of a Canberra chapter of the Achilles Running Club I have been able to rekindle my interest in running as well as form a great network of new friends.
My working relationship with Wiley has gone from strength to strength. It now feels like we can read each others mind. Wiley has matured a lot over the last twelve months and has developed more self discipline and focus when he his working. He is more self confident and has come ahead in leaps and bounds in using his initiative. Naturally there have been a couple of opps moments and times when either he or I messed up but overall it has been a fantastic year.
I have been active in my local community and am starting to see the rewards and benefits of creating a strong sense of Community spirit. I love my little unit and am very happy here although I am still a little concerned about Wiley going up and down the stairs.
At the beginning of the year I didn’t make any resolutions, my only goal was to make sure Wiley and I had a great year together. I’d say we achieved that ten times over.
2013 was a great year – I can’t wait to see what 2014 holds..
